SYMPTOMS OF CONCUSSIONS
- THINKING AND REMEMBERING
- Not thinking clearly, having hard time remembering
- Feeling extremely slowed down in thinking
- Not being able to concentrate well during most activities
- Not being able to absorb and remember new information
- PHYSICAL
- Headaches (most common sign)
- Blurry or fuzzy sight
- Nausea and vomiting (in more extreme cases)
- Extreme dizziness
- Sensitivity to light and/or noise
- Feeling tired, worn out, no energy
- EMOTIONAL AND MOOD
- Easily upset or angered (mood swings)
- Sadness
- Being Nervous or having anxiety
- More prone to emotions
- Lack of motivation towards things
- SLEEP/LIFE CHANGES
- Sleeping more often than usual
- Sleeping less often than usual
- Having a hard time falling asleep
- Change in sexual drive
- IT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO TELL IF YOUR YOUNG CHILD HAS A CONCUSSION SO LOOK FOR THESE SYMPTOMS
- Crying more often
- Headache that isn't healing
- Change in their actions and playful ways
- Change in their eating or sleeping
- Easily upset or having more temper
- Sad behavior
- Lack in their interest of activities and toys
- Loss of skills, such as using the toilet
- Trouble walking and keeping balance
- Small attention span
